How many Units?

It depends on the area and your muscle strength. Larger muscle groups — particularly the masseters — require additional units for optimal results. Your injector maps dosing at your consultation.

How Often?

Results generally last 2½ to 3 months, though this varies with metabolism, treatment area and units used. Repeat treatments are necessary to maintain results over time.

FAQ

Before You Book

Does Botox treatment hurt?

Some patients report that being injected with Botox feels like a pinch. Your provider may use ice to numb the treatment area. If you are receiving masseter Botox, the injections are typically quick and well tolerated. A topical numbing cream can also be applied prior to treatment if needed.

How long does the treatment take?

About fifteen minutes. Afterward, stay upright for 4 to 6 hours and skip the gym — otherwise, you can go straight back to your day.

When will I see results, and how long do they last?

The effect first appears in 2 to 7 days as the treated muscles begin to relax, with full effect over weeks 2 to 10. Results generally last 2½ to 3 months, though this varies with metabolism, treatment area and units used. Most clients rebook around the 2½ to 3 month mark to keep results steady.

Will I still look like myself?

Yes. Lines soften rather than switch off — our injectors work with a deliberately conservative hand, so the goal is to ease what bothers you without freezing expression or changing your face.

How many units will I need?

It depends on the area and your muscle strength. Larger muscle groups — particularly the masseters — require additional units for optimal results. Your injector maps dosing at your consultation.

What should I avoid before my appointment?

Discuss all medications and supplements with your injector before treatment. Aspirin, ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve and some herbal medicines may increase or worsen bruising, so you may be instructed to avoid them unless prescribed by your physician. You may also be asked to skip alcohol for 24 hours.
